The piano of Tema di Gamma would not meet practical standards of everyday life: it would be several meters high. -- L'informatique permet de créer des instruments monstrueux. De la musique de sorcier teutons que les Anglais humiliés qualifieront de « Rock Choucroute » pour se venger. DISCODEINE aime aussi la choucroute.  L : Ligeti, György Contemporary composer of Hungarian descent, Klaus Kinsky's body double and sharing Transylvania as a birthplace with Dracula. His style, static and demanding, is also very expressive. Often used by Kubrick for his soundtracks, Ligeti compared the Eyes Wide Shut main piano theme with a « dagger stabbed in Staline's heart ». An example to follow for DISCODEINE. -- Compositeur contemporain d'origine hongroise, sosie de Klaus Kinski et né comme Dracula en Transylvannie. Son style statique et pointilliste est très expressif. Souvent utilisé par Kubrick pour ses B.O., Ligeti a dit que le thème du piano d'Eyes Wide Shut (Musica Ricercata) sonnait « comme un coup de poignard dans le cœur de Staline ». Un exemple à suivre pour DISCODEINE.  M : Morricone, Ennio The greatest composer of the 20th century according to DISCODEINE, Ennio Morricone wrote more than 500 everlasting original sound tracks. Pilooski usually claims « GOD WORKS FOR MORRICONE ». -- Plus grand compositeur du XX ème siècle. Ennio Morricone est l'auteur de plus de 500 bandes originales de film vertigineuses dont DISCODEINE ne se lasse pas. Pilooski a l'habitude de dire : « GOD WORKS FOR MORRICONE ». Cigarillos, soul and pop lover, home cinema freak and techno goer, he never goes out without few guitar effects and a photo of Charles Denner in his pocket. -- De son vrai nom Cédric Marszewski, Pilooski s'est fait connaître derrière les platines (l'un des djs de l'année pour le mensuel Tsugi) avant de conquérir les playlists de ses confrères grâce à ses edits. Amateur de cigarillos, de soul, de pop, de séance de home cinéma nocturne et autres déviances techno,  il ne se sépare jamais de quelques pédales d'effets et d'une photo de Charles Denner. Q : Quantize The rhythmic grid that connects and corrects the beat  in sequencers. The shuffle function allows to humanize such a quantification. Like their master from Chicago's house, Discodeine is looking to floats before impacting. Emotional drift is better than spot on beats. -- Dans les séquenceurs, la grille rythmique qui aimante les beats et les rectifie par rapport au metronome. Le shuffle permet d'humaniser la quantification. A l'instar de leurs maîtres de la House de Chicago, DISCODEINE cherche le flottement dans l'impact. La dérive émotionnelle plutôt que la frappe chirurgicale.  R : Ring Modulation Available on most of the analog synthesizers, this recurrent effect used by DISCODEINE allows to create ring modulation, some frightening sonic perturbations on which our two lads get high. -- Présent sur la plupart des synthétiseurs analogiques, cet effet récurrent utilisé par DISCODEINE permet de créer des modulations en anneaux, des perturbations sonores flippantes qui ravissent nos deux compères.  S : San Francisco Historical capital of the 60's underground culture, San Francisco's  Haight Asbury streets have seen the birth of psychedelic and Sunshine pop. Today, it is one of the homeland of the gay  (see H) and nerd (see Q and R) communities. DISCODEINE has got its four feet in Paris, but its two souls lay in San Francisco. -- Capitale historique des contre-cultures des années 60, San Francisco a vu naître dans les rues de Haigh Asbury le psychédélisme et la Sunshine Pop.
