ABOUT DIRTY Dirty is a french website located in paris since 2001. we have no office, just 4 computers linked to the internet. This site is about content selection, mainly music. 3 people select the content, guillaume sorge, clovis goux and benjamin morando. jérôme poisson handles the technical issues, nicolas arnaud handles the licensing / clearances, françois romain and u-lounge (check his site here) helped us: god bless them. guillaume work as sound designer, music editor and party promoter, clovis is a journalist and graphic designer and benjamin makes music (octet, pentile, france copland). we are a non-profit organisation. ABOUT ALAIN FINKIELKRAUTROCK / BLOG / DIRTY ARCHIVES we started a blog at the end of 2006 to share our mad love for z movies and obscure music with some close friends (cosmo vitelli, charles hagelsteen, pilooski, emmanuel plane, laurent fetis, midnight mike, marco dos santos, krikor, eva revox, elisabeth arkhipoff, gwen jamois, krikor...). from now on, the dirty archives including mixes and interviews will be available on the blog. the mixes will be available on mp3 format. ABOUT DIRTY SOUND SYSTEM dirty sound system is guillaume sorge and clovis goux, sometimes benjamin morando is playing with us. we are selectors, not dj's (we don't mix records, we play them). we spin everything from house, electro, free jazz to spacey disco, acid house, krautrock, sunshine pop, folk, rythm'n'blues, music soundtracks... it depends on how far the dancefloor is ready to go. we played since 2001 in numerous venues, clubs, private parties, festivals, after shows from miami to copenhagen, spain, sweden, portugal, germany and even the deep french countryside (check our parties list here). we played with people like munk, headman, joakim, oskar, daniel wang, simian mobile disco, midnight mike, jackson, kitsuné... we also have a monthly residency in a cool parisian club called le paris paris (www.leparisparis.com). the dirty sound system mixes available on the mix archives are for home listening purpose, club promo mixes are available on request as well. drop a mail if you wanna book us : hello at d-i-r-t-y dot com. ABOUT THE DIRTY DIAMONDS COMPILATIONS we released three compilations since 2001 on diamondtraxx / discograph. they're called "dirty diamonds", they mix old music, obscure dancefloor tracks, rare pop unclassics with no style, genre or era distinction. more infos here. we don't have any links with diamondtraxx anymore and we're not part of their artist roster. we now work with tigersushi. ABOUT THE DIRTY EDITS we started releasing a serie of vinyl ep's through discograph in 2006 : 1000 copies per release, no repress. we (dirty sound system) choose the tracks and curate the serie, the edit work is made by our friend pilooski (who is also a talented dj), sometimes we also choose to reprint obscure tracks without reediting them. the first ep's are sold out now. these edits has been charted / supported by people like laurent garnier, prins thomas, erol alkan, optimo, ewan pearson, tim sweeney, brennan green, dj naughty, whomadewho, dj touche, if, in flagranti, david gilmour girls, joakim, prince language, cosmo vitelli, ame, dj cosmo, midnight mike, st etienne, susumu makai (zongamin), the earlies, dirk eskimo, pepe bradock... we also release new and unreleased music (first release : discodeine), we'd like to be some kind of small record label without being a record label (model : sarah records). infos  here / digital promos (if you deserve it) : guillaume at d-i-r-t-y dot com. HOW TO SPELL WRONG : D-I-R-T-Y / D*I*R*T*Y / DIRTY soundsystem RIGHT : dirty / Dirty Sound System SUBMIT A MIX ON THE BLOG we brodacast music that we like. selecting music is about subjecticity... we have no musical boundaries except one : we don't broadcast mainstream music, thousand other music websites do it betther than us. please check our mixes archives before sending your cdr. as we receive a lot of submissions it's difficult to answer to everyone but we listen to every mix and we don't care if you're a well known dj or not. we prefer bad dj's playing great music than great dj's playing bad music, in fact we are, technically speaking, bad dj's. generally we don't broadcast mixes if we know most of the tracklist, dirty is about discovering new music and it begins with us.
